Pistons Host Halftime Michigan Lottery Drawing on January 16

Five Michigan Residents Have Chance To Win $2,000,000 Prize In Michigan Lottery Event

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced today that they will host a “$2,000,000 Fortune” Michigan Lottery Drawing during halftime of their home game against the Washington Wizards on Friday, January 16 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The “$2,000,000 Fortune” game is different from most other Michigan Lottery instant games because the $2,000,000 top prize is awarded through a drawing. All winners of $1,000 prizes in the “$2,000,000 Fortune” instant game (those who redeemed their tickets prior to January 7) were automatically entered into a finalist drawing. From the complete pool of qualifiers, five finalists were selected on Friday, January 9, 2004 to participate in the grand-prize drawing. Those five finalists will be in attendance at The Palace of Auburn Hills for the halftime drawing event.

Mazin Jabero, of Flint, Sara Tackett, of Westland, William Schad, of Muskegon, Russell Kelly, of Madison Heights and Ather Kilano, of Harrison Township, were selected as the five finalists for the “$2,000,000 Fortune” game and will be in the running for the guaranteed top prize.
