Pistons Announce 2007-08 Local Television Schedule

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced their 2007-08 local television schedule with 75 of the team’s regular-season games being televised by FSN Detroit, My TV20 and WDIV-TV. FSN and TV20 will also combine to air five of the Pistons’ eight preseason games. Including the three exclusive ABC telecasts and four Turner Sports exclusive telecasts as part of the NBA’s national television schedule, all of Detroit’s 82 regular-season games will be available on television.

“Once again every regular season game will be available to our fans,” said Pete Skorich, Executive Vice President of Broadcasting and Multimedia for the Pistons. “The Pistons are committed to broadcasting a large portion of our games in High Definition. With our pre-game, expanded post-game coverage and additional Pistons programming, our 50th season in Detroit will be well documented and exciting to watch.”

Beginning their 11th season of broadcasting Pistons games, FSN Detroit will televise the most Pistons games for the second consecutive season - 37 regular season and three preseason contests, two of which will be aired on FSN PLUS. All 21 regular-season home games will be produced in High Definition and be available on FSN HD. Highlights of their regular-season broadcast schedule include four games of Detroit’s West Coast road trip at Portland (November 13), at Golden State (November 14) at L.A. Lakers (November 16) and at Sacramento (November 18). FSN will also air Detroit hosting 2007 number one pick Greg Oden and the Portland Trailblazers in their only regular-season appearance at The Palace (February 8). Other highlights include division rival Chicago Bulls (March 9) and two games against All-Star Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards (March 23 and April 11).

Additionally, Pistons Insider will air prior to each FSN telecast and PISTONS LIVE with player/coach reaction, analysis, highlights and Pistons-related features will follow each game. Pistons Weekly will air at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays throughout the season.

FSN Detroit delivers select Pistons, Tigers, Red Wings, CCHA and MHSAA games on FSN PLUS when the network has dual events scheduled for an overlapping time period. Most cable and satellite providers have allocated an alternate channel to accommodate the FSN PLUS telecasts. A current list of FSN PLUS channel numbers can be found at www.foxsports.com/Detroit.

“FSN looks forward to televising the most Pistons games again this season, including 21 in high-definition,” said Greg Hammaren, Senior VP/General Manager, FSN Detroit. “Starting with the Pistons Insider pregame show and ending with comprehensive postgame coverage on PISTONS LIVE, FSN Detroit is a true game-night destination for Pistons fans.”

TV20 will televise 31 regular-season games and two preseason contests with 15 pre-game shows. The station kicks off its regular-season schedule on Friday, November 2 when the Pistons travel to Orlando to take on Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis and the Magic. Other schedule highlights include three meetings against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers (November 28, March 19 and April 16) and all three match-ups against Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and the new-look Boston Celtics (December 19, January 5 and March 5).
