Pistons Honor Michigan Heroes Rules and Regulations
No purchase required to enter. Entrants do not have to purchase any products to win. Void where prohibited, taxed or otherwise restricted by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws.
How to Enter: Contest begins on Monday, October 18, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. and ends Monday, April 6, 2005 at 11:59 a.m. (“Promotional Period”). There are only two (2) ways to enter.
Entries: (1) Complete an on-line survey form at Pistons.com to be automatically entered to be selected. Entries mechanically reproduced or made in any fashion of the contest are void. (2) Send name(s), address, phone number and name of school or organization to Hometown Heroes Program, 4 Championship Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 ATTN: Anne Balutowicz. One entry per person/email address/household.
Indemnification: Entries must be received no later than one week before the Pistons game to be honored at 11:59 a.m. All entries become the property of the Detroit Pistons and will not be acknowledged or returned. Incomplete entries are void. By entering, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the judge's decisions. By entering, entrant agrees to follow the Official Rules and hold harmless and indemnify the Detroit Pistons, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc. and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant’s participation; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible.
Prize: One (1) winner per date stated below will receive four (4) upper-level tickets to a Detroit Pistons game. Person that is said to be Hometown Hero, will be honored either pre-game, during a time out or at halftime for a select amount of time. During honoring, honoree will be at half court and have photographs taken and be presented with a plaque. Prize Value is $100. Winner will be notified via telephone or e-mail. In the event the winner cannot be contacted or declines the prize, another winner will be randomly chosen.
Winner: One (1) winner will be selected for each of 10 Pistons home games to be honored as a Hometown Hero on each of the following dates: Wednesday November 17, 2004, Wednesday December 8, 2004, Wednesday December 22, 2004, Wednesday January 12, 2005, Wednesday January 26, 2005, Wednesday March 9, 2005, Wednesday March 16, 2005, Wednesday March 30, 2005, Wednesday April 6, 2005, Wednesday April 13, 2005 from all eligible entries received by Palace Sports & Entertainment whose decisions regarding all aspects of the contest shall be final and binding. Except where prohibited, in consideration for being awarded the prize, winner hereby agrees and consents, without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind, to the use of winner’s name and likeness in any and all advertising, promotions and other publicity conducted by the Detroit Pistons, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc. and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents. In the event that the winner cannot be contacted or declines the prize, another winner will be randomly selected from eligible entries. The winning prize is non-transferable to any other person, including relatives or friends. No substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prize permitted except at the team's option for a prize of comparable or greater value.
Eligibility: The contest is open only to residents of the state of Michigan within a 75 mile radius of the Palace of Auburn Hills, who are 6 years of age or older as of October 1, 2004. Employees and immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of the Detroit Pistons, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees, and agents, are not eligible. Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judging organization regarding all aspects of the contest, whose decisions shall be final.
Odds: Winner will be chosen by an employee of The Palace based upon the sincerity of the person’s outreach into the community, and the uniqueness of what makes said person a Hometown Hero.
