Eligibility: The contest is open only to residents the fifty (50) United States, Canada and the District of Columbia. Online entrants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of January 1, 2007. Employees and immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of the Detroit Pistons, the Detroit Shock, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees, and agents, are not eligible.

Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in the Contest, entrant warrants that he/she fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or Administrator, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

How to Enter: Contest begins on February 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time and ends March 23, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. There are two (2) ways to participate.

(1) Entrants who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of January 1, 2007, can submit their photo online at www.pistons.com by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on February 28, 2007. All information submitted by entrants is subject to the [nba.com] Privacy Policy accessible at: [http://www.nba.com/news/privacy_policy.html]. Entrants must complete all non-optional data requested on the online entry form. Incomplete entries are void.
(2) Contestants who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of January 1, 2007, can vote online at www.pistons.com from February 28, 2007 after 6:00 p.m. until March 23, 2007 by 5:00 p.m.

Prize: All entrants/participants will receive one (1) three hundred dollar ($300) certificate good toward a Laser Hair Removal System from American Laser Centers. Fifty (50) entrants/participants will receive two (2) Pistons tickets to a 2006-2007 regular-season home game. Three (3) finalists will receive two (2) tickets to the Pistons home game on April 4, 2007 and will participate in an on-court contest.

Winner: One (1) Grand-Prize winner will be selected based on fan reaction during the Pistons home game on April 4, 2007 and will receive a complimentary Laser Hair Removal System courtesy of American Laser Centers. Fifty (50) randomly selected entrants/participants will receive two (2) Pistons tickets to a 2006-2007 regular-season home game. The online voting will begin after 6:00 p.m. on February 28, 2007. Limit of one (1) prize per household. Winners will be notified via phone, email, and/or overnight courier. In the event that the Winner does not respond to any such notification within ten (10) days after we send out notification, or if Winner declines the prize, is ineligible or otherwise fails to qualify, a disqualification will result and, if time permits, an alternate winner shall be randomly chosen from among all remaining eligible entries.

As a condition of being awarded any prize, Winner will be required to execute and deliver to The Detroit Pistons & Detroit Shock a signed affidavit of eligibility, acceptance of these Official Rules and release of liability. Failure to execute, or return of the affidavit of eligibility and release of liability will also result in disqualification. Except where prohibited, in consideration for being awarded the prize, winner hereby agrees and consents, without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind, to the use of winner’s name and likeness in any and all advertising, promotions and other publicity conducted by the Detroit Pistons, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc. and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents.

Canadian residents, to win, must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill testing question administered in person, by phone or by mail. In the event that a Canadian Winner does not submit to or pass this test, a disqualification will result and, if time permits, an alternate winner shall be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries.

The grand prize is transferable only to immediate family members who live at the same address as the winner. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and any expenses associated with the prize, unless otherwise indicated. No substitution, cash equivalent or other transfer of prize is permitted except at the team's option.

Suspension of Contest and Use of Email Addresses: The Detroit Pistons & Detroit Shock disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, accessing and/or downloading information in connection with this Contest, and further reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond The Detroit Pistons’ or Detroit Shock’s control, corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Contest. The Detroit Pistons may elect to identify winners and award the prizes by way of random drawing from among all entrants who had entered the Contest at the time of such cancellations.

All online entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In case of multiple entries, only the first entry received will be considered and we reserve the right to void your entry entirely. In the event of dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry. The "Authorized Account Holder" is the person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail address(es) for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

The Detroit Pistons and Detroit Shock reserve the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or violating these Rules. The Detroit Pistons nor the Detroit Shock shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, incomplete unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries, communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (v) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines such entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest in any way by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices of intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other players or The Detroit Pistons’ or Detroit Shock representatives. Use of any automated system to participate is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. The Detroit Pistons and Detroit Shock may disqualify, at its sole discretion, any entries it believes to be created by an automated system.

Miscellaneous Rules: Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Detroit Pistons and Detroit Shock reserve the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorney’s fees and costs) against such persons. The Detroit Pistons' or Detroit Shock’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, or any prizes awarded, other than those concerning the administration of the contest or the determination of winners, shall be resolved on an individual basis and not by class action, consolidation, joinder or in any other manner, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (Southern Division) or the appropriate Michigan state court located in Oakland County, Michigan; (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this contest, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (iii) entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Michigan, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Michigan or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Michigan.

Indemnification, Release and Limitation of Liability: By entering, entrant agrees to the Detroit Pistons, the Detroit Shock, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., American Laser Centers and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant’s participation; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion or any travel in connection with the use of the prizes. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible. Except where prohibited by law, by participating in the Contest, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Detroit Pistons, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., American Laser Centers and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents, (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized intervention in the Contest; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; (e) late, lost, or undeliverable mail; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Contest. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant's sole remedy is another entry in the Contest; provided that if it is not possible to award another entry due to discontinuance of the Contest for any reason, Sponsor, at its discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for any or all of the prizes offered herein.

Odds: The number of entries received will determine the odds of winning.
