Fans will have the opportunity to tour the RV, which will be parked near the main entrance to The Palace before the game, as well as participate in activities such as a free throw and “knock-out” contest, photo stations, and interactive trivia kiosks. ESPN-NBA branded premiums, such as mini-basketballs, t-shirts, and headbands will also be given away at the RV.
The NBA on ESPN RV Tour is an effort to promote ESPN and ABC’s expanded NBA television coverage, airing games on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays throughout the season.
In addition to the RV Tour, NBA fans will also be able to interact with other fans during NBA Sunday games on ABC with “NBA Front Row.” Launched on January 27, NBA Front Row is an online widget that allows fans to interact and compete online with friends and other NBA fans. NBA Front Row will be available on ESPN.com, as well as social network profile pages such as Facebook and MySpace, and on personal portal homepages such as iGoogle and Netvibes.
Also, NBA fans will be able to access and explore hundreds of NBA destinations through a new Google Earth application. Users can download “NBA Earth” from www.yourNBAdestination.com, and use it to create one giant virtual NBA destination to explore and interact with online.
