Palace Sports & Entertainment Earns 11 Michigan Emmy Nominations

PS&E looking to add to its 31 Emmy wins

Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E) received 11 nominations from the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recently. The Michigan Emmys will be presented on Saturday, May 14 during the Academy’s 33rd annual awards show at the Motor City Sound Board Theatre.

Dating back to 1993, the PS&E Broadcasting & Multimedia Department has been nominated for 91 Emmys and has won 31 times.

PS&E staff up for Michigan Emmys include Pete Skorich, Executive Vice President of Broadcasting & Multimedia (two nominations); Stan Fracker, Director of Broadcast Production (four nominations); Jennifer L. Stevens, Production Assistant (two nominations); Kyle Clements, Senior Audio Engineer (one nomination); David Rhoades, Broadcast Facility Coordinator (one nomination); Jeremy Smoker, Palacevision Director (one nomination); Chris Stamatakis, Feature Producer (one nomination) and Eli Zaret, Sideline Report/Host (one nomination).

“To be nominated in these various categories is very gratifying for our entire staff of hard working, creative television professionals,” said Skorich. “They are extremely passionate and proud of their work and it's a wonderful honor to be recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at this stage of the process.”
