Detroit Pistons Introduce "Dollar Nights"
at The Palace

The Detroit Pistons are offering fans the chance to enjoy some of their favorite concession items and save some money in the process as they introduce “Dollar Nights” for select home games at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The “Dollar Nights” promotion will include a different featured concession item available at just $1 for one game each month for the remainder of the 2008-09 season, beginning with Dollar Dog Night presented by Armour-Eckrich on Friday, December 19, when the Pistons take on the Utah Jazz at 8 p.m.

Dollar Dog Night presented by Armour-Eckrich will include $1 hot dogs available at concession stands throughout the recently renovated Palace concourse and will feature a hot dog eating contest prior to the game. There will be other hot dog-themed entertainment throughout the game. Fans are encouraged to listen to WDFN 1130 AM The Fan during the week of Dec. 15 for their chance to win tickets to the game and compete in the pre-game contest.

The remaining “Dollar Nights” dates are Dollar Popcorn Night on Friday, January 23 (Dallas Mavericks); Dollar Nachos Night on Thursday, February 19 (San Antonio Spurs); Dollar Cotton Candy Night on Sunday, March 15 (Memphis Grizzlies) and a fan appreciation night to be announced later in April where all “Dollar Nights” items with the addition of sodas will be available for just a dollar.

The Palace Locker Room Stores will also take part in “Dollar Nights,” as it offers specials on some of their various items, beginning with a selection of Christmas ornaments for just a dollar on December 19.

“We are constantly looking for ways to make the entire game experience better and create more value for our guests and these promotions do both,” said Palace Sports & Entertainment President and CEO Tom Wilson. “At the end of the night, families and friends can walk away with some great savings and hopefully with some great memories of the time they spent at The Palace.”

Other money-saving and entertaining promotions include the popular Guys’ Night Out and Ladies’ Night Out at all Friday Pistons home games, which includes two tickets, two Pistons pint glasses for the guys or two martini glasses for the ladies and two $8 gift cards that can be used on concessions or Pistons merchandise. Two tickets in the Noise Factory (upper level) cost $59 or lower level seats for just $119 for the entire package, based on availability. After the game, the guys meet the dancers from Automotion and the ladies meet a Pistons player for pictures and autographs.

Remaining Guys’ Night Out games are December 26 (Oklahoma City Thunder), January 2 (Sacramento Kings), January 23 (Dallas Mavericks), March 6 (Golden State Warriors) and April 10 (New Jersey Nets). Remaining Ladies’ Night Out games are December 19 (Utah Jazz), January 30 (Boston Celtics) and March 20 (Los Angeles Clippers).
