Alex Acker and Amir Johnson have completed their season with the Fayetteville Patriots. The team experienced a surge of success when the rookies were assigned to the NBDL, but it was not enough to advance the team to the playoffs. The Patriots finished their season with a record of 16-32, 8th in the league.

On March 2, 2006, the Detroit Pistons assigned rookie Alex Acker to the Fayetteville Patriots of the NBA Development League.

The 6-foot-5 guard was the 60th pick of the 2005 NBA Draft out of Pepperdine University.

He made his official NBA debut on 2/21 vs. Atlanta and scored the first points of his NBA career on 2/26 vs. Cleveland when he finished with two points.

Acker joined Amir Johnson, who was assigned to the Patriots on February 27, 2006.

Johnson, 6-9, 210, was drafted 56th in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Pistons out of Westchester High School (Los Angeles, CA). He played in one game this season scoring two points and recording one block at Minnesota on Jan. 24.
