Detroit Pistons Forward Jason Maxiell to Miss Remainder of Season

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced that forward Jason Maxiell will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing a successful procedure to repair a detached retina. The procedure was performed on Sunday and doctors expect a full recovery.

Maxiell appeared in 72 games (71 starts) this season averaging 6.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.32 blocks in 24.8 minutes per game. His 1.32 blocks per game this season ranks 21st among NBA league-leaders.
