(On tonight’s game…) “First of all we had such great looks. We had wide open looks, we just couldn’t knock them down. The other thing was in transition (we were) coming up empty. You can’t come up empty in a game like this, every point is so important. But the guys worked hard, that’s all I can expect is that kind of energy.”

(On Richard Hamilton…) “Boy was he coming off screens, he had some great looks, normally he’ll knock those shots down. I was very pleased with his energy, his approach to the game was outstanding, we’ll get him going.”

(On Rodney Stuckey …) “He (Rodney Stuckey) got us over the top last game and he’s been playing well, but tonight it was one of those games where we just couldn’t score enough points. You go from 120 to 92, just split the difference and we would’ve been in great shape.”

(On tonight’s game …) “We missed a lot of easy shots, Rip (Hamilton) missed a lot of easy shots, (Brandon) Jennings was getting in the lane. They just grinded it out and they won.”

(On Jon Brockman …) “(Jon) Brockman has been doing that his whole career. I know him from (University of Washington) and high school as well, he’s just a hard worker. But they (the Bucks) out-rebounded us pretty bad tonight and that helped them.”

(On his final shot …) “I was just fading away a little bit so I shot it short, I was kind of off-balance. I had a good look, usually they fall, but it’s going to happen where you miss some.”

(On tonight’s game…) “We missed a lot of the ones (shots) we usually make, that’s what the difference was. We didn’t really finish in transition, we didn’t get a lot of transition baskets like we normally do. Hopefully against Minnesota we can knock down some shots.”

(On being shorthanded tonight…) “It was a good shorthanded win. Things didn’t go smoothly for us, we had a couple of opportunities late in the game to kind of seal it. We were playing good defensively. We were able to get stops. We played pretty hard, especially the last four or five minutes of the game. We got on the (offensive) boards, they (Detroit) got on the (offensive) boards, neither team did a good job on the defensive glass but we were able to come up with the critical stops.”

(On rebounding…) “It seemed early on that they (Detroit) might have a 25 offensive rebound game, they were on the glass and we weren’t reacting well enough. Carlos (Delfino) is always a dependable rebounder, everybody chipped in a little bit and did the job for us.”

(On Earl Barron’s Bucks debut…) “He was active. All he had was the shootaround and it’s hard to throw a lot at a guy, especially when we’re having our normal shootaround. We had about 15 minutes to kind of get specific with him. He’s an energy player and he helped us tonight.”

(On Andrew Bogut and Ersan Ilyasova’s absence …) “He (Bogut) does a lot for the big men in the game. He’s a shot-blocker, he’s a rebounder, so it definitely helps out down low. Ersan (Ilyasova) as well, even Luc (Mbah a Moute), it’s hurts not having those guys in there.”

(On his increased responsibilities…) “We all want to play more. We all love to play basketball. It’s just what happens as the season goes, there are ups and downs, things change. There’s always something new every day coming up and you just have to adapt to it.”

(On his block at the end of the game …) “I saw him (Will Bynum) in the corner and actually I was hustling for the rebound and (Rodney) Stuckey got it and threw it to Will Bynum in the corner. My first instinct was that he was going to pump fake, so I didn’t want a pump fake to let in to him and give him a three (point) shot, but he went up for it and I had to make a big block.”
