The Automotion topped Chicago’s Luvabulls in the first round of the NBA Dance Team Bracket. The single-elimination contest to determine the NBA’s most popular dance team began this week with fans visiting nba.com to cast their votes. Automotion pulled in 61 percent of the vote, which opened Thursday at noon.
“We’re just really appreciative of our fans’ support, and hope you keep coming back to vote,” said Automotion director Rebecca Girard. “We got pretty far last year, but it would be really fun to have some bragging rights at the end of this season.”
The Automotion are now pitted against the Charlotte Bobcats’ dance team, the Lady Cats, in the second round. Voting will take place on April 3, beginning at noon. To cast a vote or check out all of the dance team matchups, click here.
