Random Drawing Determines Order for Purchasing Limited Number of Pistons Tickets
Detroit Pistons First Round Games Available for $12

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – April 16, 2006 – The Detroit Pistons announced that tickets for Games One and Two of Round One of the NBA Playoffs, including approximately 500 tickets per game at $12 per ticket, are on sale now.

The selected $12 tickets will be available ONLY at the Palace Box Office beginning at 10:00 a.m. NO Internet sales and NO TicketMaster sales will be made for the $12 seats during the on-sale. Purchases will be limited to TWO TICKETS per person TOTAL, and tickets can only be purchased for either game. For example, one person may purchase two tickets for either Game One or Game Two, but no single $12 tickets for both games.

The Palace parking lot will open at 7:30 a.m. and The Palace doors will open at 8:30 a.m. To provide an equal opportunity for every fan, the Pistons will hold a random drawing to determine who will be first in line to buy tickets. Numbers will be passed out at 8:30 a.m. at the West Gate. A number DOES NOT guarantee the opportunity to purchase a ticket. One number per person and purchasers must be 12 years of age or older to receive a number.

At 9:30 a.m., the Pistons will pull a number from those in the drawing and that person will be the first in line to purchase tickets. From that starting point, those fans with sequential numbers will form the line. For example, if #0123 is drawn that will be the first person in line. Next in line will be #0124, #0125 and so on. Palace staff will begin lining fans up at 9:30 a.m.

The Pistons will host a random number drawing to purchase tickets for each round of the 2006 NBA Playoffs.

If there are $12 tickets remaining after 11:00 a.m., the limit for purchase will be raised to four tickets per game, per person. Also after 11:00 a.m., single $12 tickets, along with single tickets at $70, $55 and $45 for either game, will go on sale via the traditional ticket sources including www.TicketMaster.com, TicketMaster outlets or by calling The Palace at 248-377-0100.
