The Detroit Pistons dance team Automotion will be hosting auditions to select team members for the 2009-2010 season on Tuesday, July 21 beginning promptly at 3:00 p.m. at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Automotion dancers will serve as ambassadors to the Pistons and will represent the organization both on and off the court for the 2009-10 season.
Female candidates who are age 19 or older by October 1, 2009 are welcome to audition. Proof of ID (birth certificate, driver’s license, state id, etc.) is required. There is a $25.00 registration fee. Included with the fee is a ticket to a select Pistons game day ticket during the 2009-10 season. Choreography will be provided by the audition staff and dancers are required to wear sports bras (no body suits), shorts, tights and shoes. Please dress to impress. Selected finalists will return on July 22 for interviews, public relations event and fitness workout. Additional details and times will be provided at the end of the first day.
Candidates must bring a business/entertainment resume and a non-returnable recent photo. Candidates should have strong business and communication skills in addition to a strong work ethic as a complement to their dancing abilities. Automotion team members are required to dance during every Pistons home game and to represent the organization throughout the year at various team and charity functions. A flexible schedule is a must for selected dancers.
