The Detroit Pistons can support your nonprofit's fundraiser by donating an autographed item or tickets to a Pistons game. The Pistons answer all requests in writing. For eligibility and procedures, please click here.



Part of the league-wide NBA Cares initiative, Read to Achieve is a program that stresses the importance of education. The Pistons have renovated multiple Live, Learn & Play Centers, held reading time-outs and provided books and funds to dozens of schools and nonprofits.


A league-wide initiative, Nothing But Nets is an organization that provides insectiside-treated bed nets to families in Africa. It costs only $10 to send a net and save a life. Click here for more information about the Pistons support of Nothing But Nets and the fight against malaria.

  • National City and the Pistons teamed up to honor breast cancer survivors during the Oct. 24 home game. Fifty Detroit breast cancer survivors were chosen to participate in a halftime ceremony.


    The 17-hour Pistons Cares Telethon raised more than $480,000 and gave PS&E an opportunity to grant 60 wishes for Michigan kids with life-threatening medical conditions. Click here for photos of the event.

  • The Pistons-Palace Foundation holds three silent auctions at every Pistons home game. Fans may bid on unique, autographed memorabilia at the Comcast Pavilion and on the concourse at section 108/109. The third auction location is typically on the suite level or in the Caesar's Windsor Club.


    The Pistons auction off items to benefit various charities and the Pistons-Palace Foundation throughout the year. These items make great gifts for any Pistons fan. To see the current listings on the online auction, please click here.


    The Pistons have eight player ticket sections for the 2007-08 season: Hayes' Heroes, Chauncey's Big Shots, The Mini-Max, Tay's Town, the Rooks, Rollin' with Dice, Hunter's House and Amir's Hyphy Crowd. The seating sections are aimed at providing nonprofit, youth-oriented groups with tickets to a game.


    Birthday and anniversary greetings may be put on the Palacevision screen for Detroit Pistons home games with a donation to the Pistons-Palace Foundation. Please call 248.377.2010. To inquire about marriage proposals, please call (248) 377- 8607. Please call at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Bowling For Kids, hosted by Detroit Newspapers and the Pistons-Palace Foundation, was held on April 7, 2007. Pistons and Shock players and personalities helped raise money while bowling at Troy's Thunderbird Lanes.


    Each February, the Pistons and Rock Financial host the "Know Your Black History Tour with Rick Mahorn." The Pistons and Rock offer a scholarship at each tour stop along the way for a student who gives a moving presentation about black history.


    Fans donated new or gently used mittens during all Pistons home games between Nov. 21 and Dec. 31 for the Allstate "Good Hands, Warm Hands" mitten drive. My TV20 was the media partner for this initiative.

  • The Detroit Pistons dance team grants scholarships to deserving performing arts students each year through the sales of their calendar. Last year, the competition visited Arts Academy in the Woods and distributed $25,000 in scholarships.


    The Pistons-Palace Foundation will hold a 50/50 raffle during each Pistons "Hardwood Classics" home game. Fans can purchase tickets through the end of halftime. The tickets are $3/1, $5/2 and $10/5. Proceeds will benefit various nonprofits and the Pistons-Palace Foundation.


    More than 400 servicemen and their families from Selfridge Air National Guard Base were at The Palace to enjoy the Pistons' big win over the Houston Rockets for the "Seats for Soldiers" night, just in time for the holidays.
