Confidence, role spike for Thomas in second year

Prior to the start of the 2011-12 NBA season, New Orleans Hornets forward Lance Thomas appeared to be in a similar situation to what he’s in now. He had just completed training camp and was playing significant minutes in preseason games.

The only difference is that the situation he’s in now is nothing like the situation he was in with the team last year.

Entering his third season in the NBA and second with the New Orleans Hornets, things haven’t exactly gone according to plan for Xavier Henry. The 6-foot-6 swingman was selected 12th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2010 NBA Draft after just one season at the University of Kansas, where he earned Freshman All-American honors.
