PELICANS ANNOUNCE 2013 PRESEASON SCHEDULE
Team will play eight games in eight different cities

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans today announced their eight-game preseason schedule prior to the season-opener against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The Pelicans will host the defending NBA Champion Miami Heat on Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the lone preseason game at the New Orleans Arena.

New Orleans begins the preseason on the road against the Houston Rockets on Saturday, Oct. 5, and remains in Texas for a matchup versus the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, Oct. 7. The team then travels to the East Coast for a contest against the Orlando Magic at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, FL on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The Pelicans return to the Gulf Coast when they host the Atlanta Hawks at 1:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, MS.

New Orleans hits the road for a matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK, before traveling to Lexington, KY to take on the Washington Wizards at Rupp Arena on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The Pelicans wrap up the preseason with a road contest against the Orlando Magic on Friday, Oct. 25.

All Pelicans preseason games will be broadcast live on the Pelicans’ flagship station, 105.3 FM, featuring play-by-play announcer Sean Kelley and color analyst John DeShazier.
