FOX Sports New Orleans to televise 75 regular season games;
WWL Radio to broadcast 80 regular season games plus seven preseason contests

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today the television and radio broadcast schedule for the 2013-14 season. FOX Sports New Orleans, the official television partner of the Pelicans, will feature 75 live regular season home and away contests. WWL Radio (105.3 FM), the Pelicans radio flagship station, will broadcast 80 regular season matchups in addition to seven preseason games.
“We are thrilled to announce the 2013-14 broadcast schedule and continue to bring exclusive coverage to Pelicans fans in New Orleans and throughout the Gulf South region,” Pelicans President Dennis Lauscha said.
Beginning with the Wednesday, October 30th home-opener against the Indiana Pacers, the television broadcast schedule includes 40 home and 35 away matchups, and concludes with the final game of the regular season against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, April 16th. This marks the second consecutive season that FOX Sports New Orleans will televise a franchise-high 75 broadcasts.
Joel Meyers and David Wesley enter their second season as play-by-play and color analyst for New Orleans, with Jennifer Hale returning for her second consecutive season with the team as the sideline reporter. Meyers, a two-time play-by-play announcer Emmy Winner, brings more than 20 years of broadcast experience to the organization with recent stints for the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs. Wesley, who played 14 seasons in the NBA, joined the broadcast team prior to last season after serving as an assistant coach for the NBDL’s Texas Legends for two seasons. Hale has spent the last four years at WVUE FOX 8 New Orleans and also is a sideline reporter for the NFL on FOX.
Pelicans coverage on FOX Sports New Orleans will include Pelicans Live pregame and postgame shows in addition to other Pelicans programming, and will be available statewide on cable and satellite providers.
FOX Sports New Orleans offers a robust lineup of local sports programming, including SEC football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, Olympic sports and coaches' shows, and LHSAA football, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and championship events. Other regional programming on FOX Sports New Orleans will feature Big 12 and Conference USA collegiate events, Texas Rangers baseball and Dallas Stars hockey. FOX Sports New Orleans will be available to over 1.6 million cable and satellite TV homes throughout the Pelicans territory.
FOX Sports is the nation's leader in offering hometown NBA coverage through FSN, the largest owned-and-operated regional sports network group in the country. FSN serves as the local television home to more than half of all NBA teams, producing more than 1,000 live NBA telecasts per season.
The WWL Radio broadcast schedule includes 87 out of 90 Pelicans preseason and regular season games throughout the 2013-14 season, with the three exceptions being: Sunday, Oct. 13th vs. Atlanta (preseason); Sunday, Nov. 10th at Phoenix; and Monday, Dec. 2nd at Chicago.
Sean Kelley returns for his ninth season as the play-by-play announcer for New Orleans, while John DeShazier begins his second season with the Pelicans as color analyst.
Oscar Tejada and David Lopez will serve as play-by-play and color analyst for ESPN Deportes WODT 1280 AM, the Spanish radio flagship station of the Pelicans, covering all 82 games throughout the 2013-14 season.
