HORNETS TO HOST BUZZ PATROL AUDITIONS PRESENTED

Team to fill approximately 20 spots for interactive group to entertain fans

The New Orleans Hornets will hold auditions for the 2011-12 Buzz Patrol Interactive Team on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 12:00 p.m. at the Alario Center (2000 Segnette Blvd., Westwego, La.).
Members of the Buzz Patrol are an important piece to the Hornets overall game entertainment, said Josh Richardson, Hornets Vice President of Event Presentation and Broadcasting. The energy that they bring to our games creates a fun atmosphere for all fans to enjoy.
Applicants for Buzz Patrol must be at least 18 years old and bring energy, enthusiasm and a hard-working attitude to auditions. The Buzz Patrol presented by McDonalds energizes the Hornets home crowd with cheers, on-court promotions, dance moves, skits and interactive games and contests. In addition to home games, the Buzz Patrol presented by McDonalds makes appearances at numerous community events throughout the entire year.
Interested applicants must provide a photo ID, a high school diploma and a copy of their Fall 2011 class schedule (applicable for college students only). In addition, applicants must have reliable transportation, have housing in or around the New Orleans area and be in excellent physical shape with high energy and movement ability.
Members of the Buzz Patrol presented by McDonalds are also required to arrive three and a half hours prior to tip-off and be available on weekdays, weekends and some holidays.
