HORNETS ANNOUNCE 2011 SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP SCHEDULE

The New Orleans Hornets have teamed up with the National Basketball Academy to host a series of summer basketball camps around the state of Louisiana, including a week-long camp featuring Hornets Head Coach Monty Williams.

The seven week-long camps will be held in New Orleans, Westwego, Kenner, Mandeville, Slidell and Baton Rouge. Each camp is open to boys and girls ages 7-16 and includes camp instruction from Monday through Friday (with the exception of the Baton Rouge camp which is Wednesday through Friday only), a free Hornets 2011-2012 game ticket, Hornets camp T-shirt, basketball and headband. The total cost for each camp is $199/camper, excluding the Baton Rouge and Monty Williams (Westwego) camps, which are $149 and $229 respectively.

Each camp will feature expert instruction, special Hornets guests, live games of three-on-three and five-on-five, contests, giveaways and prizes, with an awards ceremony concluding the week’s activities. In addition, participants in the Monty Williams camp will receive hands-on instruction from the Hornets’ coach, the chance to meet special Hornets guests, a player camp skills packet and a team photo with Coach Williams.
