HORNETS SIGN MCGUIRE
Forward Brings Frontcourt Depth

The New Orleans Hornets announced today that they have signed forward Dominic McGuire.

McGuire, a Fresno State University product, appeared in 15 regular season games (nine starts) with the Toronto Raptors this season before being waived on November 30th. Originally signed by Toronto on September 12, 2012, McGuire averaged 2.1 points, 3.2 rebounds in 15.3 minutes of play with the Raptors.

The 6’9” forward is in his sixth NBA season, originally drafted by the Washington Wizards with the 47th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. After spending two and half seasons in Washington where he appeared in 190 games (including 58 starts), McGuire was traded to the Sacramento Kings during the 2010 season in exchange for a second round draft pick. McGuire then spent the 2010-11 season with the Charlotte Bobcats before joining the Golden State Warriors for the 2011- 12 season. The San Diego, California native holds career averages of 2.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 15.7 minutes in over 331 games.
