HORNETS TO HOST OPEN PRACTICE ON SATURDAY,OCTOBER 20 AT THE NEW ORLEANS ARENAEvent is free and open to the public as fans get behind-the-scenes look at a Hornets practice

The New Orleans Hornets will host an open practice featuring the entire team and coaching staff on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the New Orleans Arena. The event is free and open to the public and will give fans the opportunity to be the first to see the 2012-13 Hornets practice.
As Head Coach Monty Williams conducts practice, fans will get an inside perspective of Williams’ instruction as he will be mic’d during the session.
“As a team, we’re really looking forward to seeing our fans on Saturday. Opening Night on Halloween is just two weeks away and we couldn’t be more excited for the start of the season,” Williams said. “We have a lot of new faces on the roster and we hope that the fans will embrace them. Our guys have been working really hard during preseason to get better as a team and will make this city proud every time they step on the court.”
Free parking will be available in Lots 2 and 3. No tickets are necessary to enter, but all fans are encouraged to enter the arena through the Northeast entrance, just to the left of the Hornets’ Nest team store. The Hornets’ Nest will host special sales up to 25-percent off during the event.
In addition to the practice, fans will have the opportunity to select their seats for 2012-13 season-ticket packages, as well as half-season and 12-game plans. Fans that purchase tickets at Saturday’s event will have the opportunity to take a photo with Hornets rookies Anthony Davis, Austin Rivers and Darius Miller following the practice.
The Hornets’ partial plans include the Superstar and Contender Packages which feature some of the top teams in the Eastern and Western Conferences, as well as the Friday Night Package which includes premier opponents on 12 of the Hornets’ 13 Friday-night home games. The Friday Night Package is designed to give fans the opportunity to tip off the weekend with the excitement of an enhanced pre-game party at Champions Square followed by a Hornets game.
