1)      Seventh-seeded New Orleans (2-2) got off to a slow start and never could completely close the gap against No. 23 Charlotte, in Thursday’s Round of 16 tournament game. The Hornets rolled to a 104-75 victory, sending the Pelicans to the NBA Summer League consolation bracket.

2)      Check out a photo gallery from Thursday’s game.

3)      Watch postgame Pelicans video of point guard Russ Smith and wing player Courtney Fells, who tied for team scoring honors with 19 points apiece.

4)      New Orleans will wrap up its participation in summer league tonight, with a 9 p.m. Central game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Please note, that’s a slight time change from the original tip-off, which was based on the bracket schedule.

5)      There has been no indication this morning of whether the game will be broadcast live by NBA TV, but it’s probably unlikely, due to the fact that the Cavaliers and No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins are tipping off 30 minutes after the Pelicans-Wolves game begins. Either way, fans can watch Pelicans-Wolves live via NBA.com.
