Five things to know about the Pelicans on Day 1 in Las Vegas

1)      New Orleans opens NBA Summer League game action tonight, facing the D-League Select team. Tip-off of the matchup will be at 9:30 p.m. Central (7:30 in Nevada). The game will take place in the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus.

2)      The Pelicans will hold a morning shootaround in Las Vegas at 10 a.m. Pacific. We’ll have more on the latest news and developments from the desert later.

3)      Friday’s Pelicans vs. D-League game will be available live via NBA.com and its Summer League Live broadband package. It costs $14.99 and features all summer games from Orlando and Las Vegas. NBA.com is also offering a free one-day pass during its 16-hour marathon coverage of games in both cities today and tonight.

4)      DVR alert: If you can’t stay up late Friday night to watch the Pelicans’ Vegas opener, NBA TV will air a replay at 5 a.m. (Central time) on Saturday morning.
