CP3 Rookie of the Year Photos



In celebration of his May 6 birthday, young New Orleans students presented Chris Paul with a cake with icing that read "Happy Birthday Rookie of the Year."



Midway through a day when he held at Rookie of the Year press conferences in two different cities, Chris Paul stepped off the plane after it landed at a New Orleans airport.



Scores of Oklahoma City children helped make the Rookie of the Year ceremony at the Ford Center a special one by donning identical Chris Paul jerseys.



During a surprise celebration coordinated by the Hornets organization, Chris Paul high-fives Hornets employees Brittany Cranston and Ryan Eller en route to the Ford Center floor.



Chris Paul received numerous congratulatory phone calls throughout Wednesday, including one on the bus trip from the Ford Center to the Oklahoma City airport.



The Hornets' star rookie poses with Hornets head coach Byron Scott, who also enjoyed an outstanding 2005-06, as an NBA Coach of the Year candidate.



Chris Paul shows off the smile that helped make him one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People."



Following an incredible rookie season, Chris Paul is one of the biggest reasons why things are looking up for the Hornets as they anticipate the 2006-07 NBA campaign.
