CITADEL RADIO TO RETURN AS HORNETS FLAGSHIP RADIO PARTNER
Games will now be broadcast on “True Oldies” WMTI 106.1 FM in New Orleans

The New Orleans Hornets announced today that Citadel Broadcasting will return as the team’s flagship home, with all games will now airing live on “True Oldies” WMTI 106.1 FM in New Orleans and remaining on WEMX 94.1FM in Baton Rouge. It will be the first season that Hornets games will broadcast on WMTI 106.1 FM.

The agreement includes all pre-season, regular-season and playoff games, as well as a year-round, daily morning talk show that will launch closer to the start of the 2011-12 season.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with The New Orleans Hornets, one of premier franchises in the NBA, and look forward to a great season on True Oldies 106.1,” said David Smith, General Manager of Citadel Broadcasting in New Orleans.

The broadcast team is anchored by Sean Kelley, who will begin his seventh season as the team’s play-by-play voice. Veteran color analyst Gerry Vaillancourt starts his 22nd season with the Hornets and will sit next to Kelley. All broadcasts will include a pre-game and post-game studio show, as well. The “Hornets OT” post-game show will broadcast directly following Hornets games.
