What does sixth-year Hornets guard Jannero Pargo like to do when he’s not playing basketball? Hornets.com sat down with the Chicago native and University of Arkansas product to find out more about his interests away from the game of hoops.

Favorite types of music: “Rap and R&B. My favorite rapper right now is Lil Wayne.”

Can’t miss TV show: The Wire.

Reality TV thoughts: “I don’t like it. People act differently when they know a camera is right there. It’s not reality.”

Favorite movie of all time: Troy.

Time spent online per day: “Maybe 30 minutes to an hour.”

Favorite non-sports Web site: Gucci.

Football or baseball? “Football, no doubt. I played football in high school. I can’t play baseball at all.”

What he’d be doing if he weren’t an NBA player: “I’d be coaching guys who are trying to get to the NBA. Or I would be a high school teacher and coach.”

Favorite athlete as a kid: Michael Jordan.

Best friend on another NBA team: Atlanta guard Joe Johnson, Pargo’s college teammate at Arkansas.

Best friend in another pro sport: Chicago Bears running back Garrett Wolfe.

First job: “I worked at a packaging company. I was packing plastic that you put (food products) in and shipping it off. That was a summer job I had while I was in college at Arkansas.”
