What does Hornets rookie guard Adam Haluska like to do when he’s not playing basketball? Hornets.com sat down with the University of Iowa product to find out more about his interests away from the game of hoops.

Favorite music: Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin. “I also listen to country and rap.”

Favorite TV shows: The Simpsons, Seinfeld.

Reality TV thoughts: “I’m a big fan. My wife and I try to DVR as many shows as we can, such as The Real World and The Hills.”

Favorite movie of all time: Field of Dreams. “Being from Iowa, you have to appreciate that movie.”

Time spent online per day: “About five minutes, just to check my e-mail. I’m not a big Internet guy at all.”

Favorite non-sports Web site: Google.

Football or baseball? “Right now I prefer baseball because my Chicago Cubs made the playoffs. But if you had asked me last year, I would have said football because of how well the Bears did.”

What he’d be doing if he weren’t an NBA player: “I’d be in the business world, trying to use my degree in finance.”

Favorite athlete as a kid: Michael Jordan.

Best friend on another NBA team: Dallas forward Nick Fazekas. “I trained with him this spring for about three months, so I got to know him really well.”

Best friend in another pro sport: Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway, who went to college with Haluska at Iowa.

First job: “I did an internship with a bank. I got to do everything, including sitting in on loan meetings. I did some teller work and a lot of things around the bank that people take for granted, but have to get done.”
