New Orleans fourth-year shooting guard Marco Belinelli sat down with Hornets.com recently to discuss his background and provide more insight on some of his interests away from the game of basketball.Best moment as an athlete: “In 2005 I was in Bologna (Italy) and won the league championship with Fortitudo Bologna.”How he chose uniform number 8: “I wore 8 when I played in Bologna. So I looked at it as the number that brought me to the NBA.”Favorite thing about New Orleans: “The people are great. The French Quarter is nice. I think it’s a good city.”First job: “A basketball player in Italy. If you’re good, you can start to play at a young age.
