The New Orleans Hornets announced they have requested waivers on guard Jared Jordan and center Courtney Sims.
"That's one of the toughest parts of this job," Hornets coach Byron Scott said after the team's Alario Center practice. "Because those guys have a dream to play in the NBA, just like everyone else. You hope that they can find a place to play somewhere else."
Jordan (6-2, 190) appeared in two games with the Hornets, averaging 3.0 points and 3.0 assists in 14.0 minutes. Sims (6-11, 245) played in four contests with New Orleans, averaging 4.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 8.3 minutes.
