Yesterday we debuted a periodic live chat feature on Hornets.com that will hopefully become a staple of the website this season. During an 80-minute session, I was able to cover a lengthy list of team-related subjects and respond to a total of 32 questions (it probably could’ve been more, but as you may see by reading the transcript, I can get a little long-winded at times…). There were still many, many other fan questions that I did not have time to address, but the plan is to host chats every so often throughout the 2009-10 season on Hornets.com.
Even more exciting, we are expecting to have Hornets players as guests as much as possible, beginning with the preseason. New Orleans rookie guard Darren Collison has agreed to be the first Hornets player to stop by. Collison will be answering questions on Monday, Oct. 5, following the team’s practice that day at the Alario Center. We will announce an approximate or exact time when it gets a bit closer, but in the meantime, feel free to start preparing your questions for the UCLA point guard.
Along with Collison, we will try to get several of the other roster additions to join us on Hornets.com over the next few weeks, in order to get to know a little bit more about the new faces.
