With media day on Friday and the first official practice Saturday, nearly the entire roster has already reported to New Orleans to make preparations for training camp. Due to the Hornets NBA Europe Live trip in mid-October, they were allowed by the league to begin camp a few days earlier than anticipated. For the second straight year, most of the Hornets arrived in New Orleans several days or more ahead of schedule, to begin working out with each other.
Since Monday, the group has scrimmaged five-on-five on the brand-new New Orleans Arena hardwood for an hour or so. Many of the players including Sean Marks, Peja Stojakovic and Julian Wright on Wednesday have remained in the arena following the scrimmage to work on their perimeter shooting.
