Hornets general manager Jeff Bower spoke to the media for about 20 minutes at the Alario Center this afternoon, to address a report that New Orleans has traded its first-round pick to Portland. Bower explained that the trade is not a done deal.
“Contrary to reports, we have not made a deal for our pick that has been finalized and approved by the league office at this time,” Bower said. “As we’re all aware, until that final approval takes place, we don’t have a deal. We have been in discussions about possibly looking into other options for the pick, but at this time, I can’t tell you a deal has been finalized and approved by the league office.”
