Paul officially named to USA Basketball team

Chris Paul was officially named to the USA Basketball roster Monday, which had been reported last week by the Times-Picayune. Paul's ability to distribute the ball and get other players involved in the offense is an invaluable skill on a team loaded with offensive talent. He'll be headed to Las Vegas for mini-camp on June 28-29, as well as training camp there July 21-25. I'm planning to attend a couple of the USA team's workouts in July, so we should have a chance to catch up with CP at that time and provide a few updates from Vegas.
The basketball portion of the 2008 Summer Olympics are scheduled for Aug. 10-24 in Beijing, China.
If you'd like to comment on the honor and your thoughts on Paul's participation with USA Basketball, feel free to do so here in the blog.

Season review: Bonzi Wells

Our review of the 2007-08 season continues today with a look at Bonzi Wells. The 10-year NBA veteran is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, meaning he can sign with any team.
Wells seemed to thoroughly enjoy playing for the Hornets. Byron Scott mentioned several times that Wells thanked Scott and Hornets GM Jeff Bower for bringing him to New Orleans and giving him the opportunity to come to a team that had such a positive locker room and atmosphere. There were a few regular season games I don't think the Hornets would've won without Wells (particularly March home wins over Houston and Boston), but he made a minimal impact during the playoffs and saw his playing time reduced during the San Antonio series.
