Here is part 2 of our look around the Internet, to see what other websites are projecting New Orleans to do with the No. 27 pick of the first round (the Hornets do not have a second-round pick this season). Three of seven sites are now predicting that French center Alexis Ajinca will be New Orleans’ selection. Two others are going with Chris Douglas-Roberts of Memphis.

“Chris Douglas-Roberts would be a great fit for the Hornets if he's still on the board. He is a big-time scorer who excels at slashing to the basket. He also is an excellent midrange shooter and should be able to step in and contribute right away.”

“European big man with excellent size, length and athleticism. Fluid player who looks comfortable facing the basket and knocking down mid-range jumpers. Excellent finisher around the rim. Has a good feel for the game, and is a solid passer. Extremely impressive shot-blocker thanks to his freakish wingspan. Still raw in many facets, lacks footwork in the post, and struggles to finish through contact.”

Real GM: Chris Douglas-Roberts, shooting guard, Memphis
“Douglas-Roberts is a prime example of an excellent college shooting guard with questions about whether or not he has enough tools to succeed on the NBA level. He needs to become stronger and is also far from being spectacular athletically although his reverse dunk on a fastbreak against Gonzaga certainly helps dispel that notion. The lack of strength in his core causes him to not be as balanced as he needs to be since his center of gravity is too far out in front of him. What he does do well, of course, is score. He has improved his perimeter shot dramatically this season and is shooting 50 percent from three-point territory.”
