Hilton Armstrong's third season in the NBA included career highs in virtually every category, with him receiving the most playing time since he joined the Hornets as a 2006 lottery pick. During a few portions of the year, he displayed some of the potential that made him a first-round choice. However, he still was unable to gain a permanent foothold as a member of the rotation, dropping out of the mix late in the regular season.
At the very least, one objective for Armstrong next season will be to improve his consistency, particularly rebounding-wise. He's entering the final year of his rookie deal and needs to show additional signs that he can be a solid frontcourt reserve in the future.
