ESPN has added the Friday, Feb. 26 game in New Orleans between the Hornets and Magic to its national broadcast schedule. With ESPN picking up the game, tip-off time has been changed to 8:30 p.m., from its originally scheduled time 90 minutes earlier.
As a result of the addition, two consecutive Hornets games will be aired on ESPN that weekend, including the Sunday, Feb. 28 visit to Dallas. New Orleans will also appear on ESPN on March 5 at San Antonio, making it three times over a five-game span.
New Orleans is 2-2 on national TV thus far, with all of those games taking place in November. The Hornets are now slated to appear on national airwaves six more times during the 2009-10 regular season, including the following dates:
Monday, Feb. 8 at Orlando (TNT)
Friday, Feb. 26 vs. Orlando (ESPN)
Sunday, Feb. 28 at Dallas (ESPN)
Friday, March 5 at San Antonio (ESPN)
Wednesday, March 17 at Golden State (ESPN)
Thursday, March 18 at Denver (TNT)
Every Hornets game for the remainder of the 2009-10 regular season will be televised either on Cox Sports Television, or on national airwaves, with the lone exception being the March 31 home game against Washington.
