Black tie evening features live entertainment, auctions and entire Hornets team

The New Orleans Hornets announced today that they will host their annual Top Hats and High Tops black tie gala on Friday, March 6 from 6 -10:30 p.m. at the Audubon Tea Room to benefit The George Shinn Foundation, Inc.
This years fund-raising gala will provide guests with live music by Jeremy Davenport, live and silent auctions with Hornets, sports and entertainment memorabilia, fantastic food and the opportunity to interact with the entire team and coaching staff.
This is such a unique fund-raising event because our players and coaches go out of their way to make the evening special for our guests, said Hornets Owner George Shinn. There are always plenty of surprises throughout the event, and its a special night for the entire Hornets family because all money raised goes directly to the needs here in South Louisiana.
The George Shinn Foundation, Inc. was established to help build a lasting legacy throughout the city of New Orleans by providing financial support for the Hornets numerous community initiatives. Under the direction of Hornets Owners George and Denise Shinn, the Foundation is committed to provide health and education services, give financial assistance or other resources to families in need and build safe places for children and families to play and learn.
Gold table packages are available for $4,000 and include seating for eight guests plus a Hornets player or coach and guest and a special gift from the Shinns. Purple tables are $2,500 and include seating for 10 guests. Individual seats may also be purchased for $200.
