New Orleans Pelicans reserve Tyreke Evans was at the center of a great story Wednesday, when he made a surprise appearance after initially expecting to miss 1-2 weeks with a sprained left ankle. Evans helped spark an OT win vs. Detroit. Unfortunately for Evans, he aggravated the same injury Friday vs. Memphis, forcing him to leave the game. Evans appeared to step on another player’s foot with 0.8 seconds remaining in the second quarter, causing the re-injury. Evans stayed in the game to shoot the subsequent free throws, but did not return for the second half.
