New Orleans Pelicans Fact of the Day for April 15

With six of the Pelicans other top seven scorers sidelined, Tyreke Evans put the Pelicans on his back en route to victory vs. Oklahoma City on Monday with a historic performance. He recorded a career-high 41 points on 14 of 26 shooting (12 of 16 free throws). This was the highest scoring performance by a New Orleans player since David West’s 44 points at Houston Dec. 29, 2009. It was his second 30+ point performance of the season. Most impressively, Evans' 32 second half points are a franchise record for points in a half (previous: 30 West second half against the Rockets on Dec. 29, 2009).
