Five things to know about the Pelicans on Oct. 25

1) It’s a Friday gameday for the Pelicans, who will wrap up what’s been a very good preseason tonight in Orlando. New Orleans (6-1 in preseason) faces the Magic at Amway Center at 6 p.m. Central (7 p.m. in Orlando). You can listen to the game live on the Pelicans Radio Network or via’s Audio League Pass.

2) Friday could mark the return to the court of Tyreke Evans, who said Wednesday he was anticipating playing vs. the Magic. On Thursday, Monty Williams said Evans’ status was to be determined. The Pelicans have five days between the preseason finale and regular-season opener, so if Evans doesn’t play tonight, he’d have that additional time to get ready for Opening Night vs. Indiana.

3) Tune in to the Black & Blue Report today for an interview with Anthony Morrow, one of several Pelicans who’ve played well in exhibition games.

4) Visit the New Orleans Arena on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the team’s annual open practice. Admission is free and doors open at 10:30 a.m.

5) A pep rally will be held Monday on Fulton Street in downtown New Orleans. Click here for more details.
