Five things to know about the Pelicans on Nov. 11

1) On Veterans Day, a thank you to all military members for their service to our country. It is greatly appreciated. Along with all 30 NBA teams, New Orleans players have been wearing special red, white and blue warmup uniforms, as well as American-themed game socks.

2) New Orleans dropped to 3-4 overall with Sunday’s 101-94 defeat against a Phoenix team that is now a surprising 5-2, including two wins over the Pelicans. Once again, the three-ball was pivotal in Phoenix defeating New Orleans.

3) Watch postgame video from Sunday of Monty Williams and Anthony Davis discussing what the Suns did to secure their fourth home win in four tries.

4) The Pelicans arrived in the city of Los Angeles around 10 p.m. Pacific last night. They won’t practice today, but will hold shootaround Tuesday morning and prepare for that night’s game at the Lakers. Tip-off of Tuesday’s contest is at 9:30 p.m. Central and will be broadcast by Fox Sports New Orleans and the Pelicans Radio Network (flagship 105.3 FM).

5) Listen to Monday’s Black & Blue Report for a look back at Sunday’s game and an interview with Pelicans shooting guard Anthony Morrow. The reserve two-guard is tied for first in the NBA in three-point percentage (59.1) among players with at least 20 attempts.
