Five things to know about the Pelicans on Jan. 8

1) In a game televised nationally Tuesday by NBA TV, Miami rallied from an 11-point first-half deficit to post a 107-88 home victory over New Orleans. The Pelicans finished their road trip 1-3 after consecutive similar losses to the Pacers and Heat.

2) Early in Tuesday’s game, Anthony Davis had one of his best dunks of the 2013-14 season, which is saying something given how many highlight slams the second-year pro has already authored.

3) In other news Tuesday, the team announced that Ryan Anderson is out indefinitely with a herniated disc, the result of Friday's accidental collision with Boston's Gerald Wallace.

4) The Pelicans (15-18) will try to get as much rest as possible this morning, before heading to the New Orleans Arena to prepare to host the Washington Wizards (15-17) at 7 p.m. tonight.
