Five things to know about the Pelicans on Jan. 13


1) The NBA announced that game officials missed the call on the final play of Saturday’s New Orleans at Dallas game. Trailing 110-107, Austin Rivers tried to get off a three-point attempt just before the buzzer, but he was contacted by Mavericks defender Monta Ellis. No foul was called.

2) Rivers took a diplomatic approach after Saturday’s game to the unfortunate circumstances of the final play.

3) Another Southwest Division foe is on the schedule tonight, when the Pelicans (15-21) host the San Antonio Spurs at 7 p.m. Tickets are available here.

4) The Pelicans remain short-handed, with Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday ruled out indefinitely. Tyreke Evans’ status is to be determined. The Pelicans are holding shootaround in the New Orleans Arena right now.
