Five things to know about the Pelicans on Feb. 27

1) All-Star power forward Anthony Davis suffered a left shoulder sprain during Wednesday’s loss at Dallas. He will be further evaluated by doctors today in Phoenix.

2) The Pelicans played the entire second half Wednesday without Davis, remaining competitive with the Mavericks until a fourth-quarter burst enabled Dallas to post a 108-89 victory.

4) After practicing today in Arizona, New Orleans (23-34) will play a second straight game on ESPN’s airwaves Friday, visiting the Phoenix Suns. As the second game of ESPN’s Friday national doubleheader, tip-off will be at 9:30 p.m. Central.
