Five things to know about the Pelicans on Feb. 20 (2/20/14)

1) Carmelo Anthony thwarted the Pelicans in their first game after the All-Star break, generating 42 points in New York’s 98-91 victory over New Orleans. Anthony scored 30 in the Smoothie King Center during Sunday’s All-Star Game.

4) The Pelicans will practice this morning in Metairie, before heading out on a mid-afternoon flight to Charlotte. New Orleans visits the Bobcats at 6 p.m. Central on Friday. The NBA trade deadline is today at 2 p.m. Central. NBA TV is broadcasting a special two-hour show on the trade deadline, starting at 1 p.m.
