PHOENIX - New Orleans Pelicans Coach Monty Williams said prior to tip-off that All-Star forward Anthony Davis will play tonight against the Suns. Meanwhile, Phoenix point guard Goran Dragic, the Suns’ most important player with guard Eric Bledsoe still out of the mix, is a game-time decision.

“(Davis) responded well to yesterday’s workout and shootaround (this morning),” Williams said. “I’m going to watch him, but it looks like he’s a go for tonight.”

Williams added that he’s going to change his starting lineup, moving Alexis Ajinca back to the first-unit center spot, which will push Greg Stiemsma to reserve duty. Williams also plans to elevate Tyreke Evans to the starting small-forward spot.

As for Dragic, Suns Coach Jeff Hornacek said he was waiting to see how Dragic fared in pregame warmups.

“We can’t push him back and let it aggravate,” Hornacek said of Dragic’s ankle injury. “We’ll see how is after he gets a chance to warm up.”
