END RESULT

In the absence of CP3, the Hornets have found DC2.

With star point guard Chris Paul sidelined by a knee injury, rookie backup Darren Collison has filled in admirably and produced his first career triple-double with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists to spark New Orleans to a 107-101 victory over the Pacers before 15,644 in New Orleans Arena on Friday night.

Coming to life in the second half as Danny Granger scored 21 of his 29 points, the Pacers cut a 19-point halftime deficit to four in the fourth quarter but could get no closer.

The Pacers lost their fourth straight overall to fall to 18-36 on the season, 6-21 on the road. They also fell to 0-15 on the road against teams at .500 or better and 0-9 against Western Conference opponents. New Orleans improved to 29-26 overall, 18-9 at home.
