Matchup
After a frustrating last-second loss at home, the Pacers (37-37) will look to bounce back quickly to keep pace in the wild race for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference. It won't be easy, however, as they embark on a difficult three-game road trip against surefire playoff teams, which begins on Wednesday night in Memphis.
The Pacers trailed for much of Tuesday's contest against the young Minnesota Timberwolves before they rallied to take a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter. But the Blue & Gold let the Timberwolves back in the game, scoring just two points over the final three minutes.
Ricky Rubio drew a controversial foul on a 3-pointer with 3.6 seconds remaining, then knocked down all three free throws to give Minnesota a 115-114 win.
With the loss, the Pacers fell to seventh place in the Eastern Conference, just one game ahead of eighth-place Miami and two games up on ninth-place Chicago with eight games to play.

On Wednesday, the Pacers will take on the Grizzlies (40-34), who are zeroing in on their seventh straight playoff appearance, for the second half of their 17th and final back-to-back of the season. Indiana has struggled away from the friendly confines of Bankers Life Fieldhouse all year, but especially on the second night of back-to-backs, going 0-7 when playing the second game on the road.
Memphis has dropped four consecutive games, though all four of those losses came on the road and two were at San Antonio and Golden State. All-Star center Marc Gasol has missed two straight games with a strained left foot and was ruled out against Indiana on Wednesday morning.
Defeating the Grizzlies won't be easy, but with tougher games looming at Toronto and Cleveland over the weekend, Wednesday might be the Pacers' best opportunity to pick up a win on this road trip. With the season winding down and the playoff race tightening, they'll take every win they can get.

Last Meeting
February 24, 2017: The Pacers snapped a season-long six-game losing streak in convincing fashion, rolling to a 102-92 win over the Grizzlies at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in their first game after the All-Star break.
C.J. Miles led all scorers with 17 points, going 5-for-9 from 3-point range, as six different Pacers players scored in double figures in the victory. Monta Ellis added 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Myles Turner added 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting, six rebounds, and three blocks.
Jeff Teague (10 points and 10 assists) recorded his 14th double-double of the season, while Lavoy Allen (10 points and 10 rebounds) had his second.
Troy Daniels led Memphis with 13 points and All-Star center Marc Gasol added 12. Tony Allen added 11 points and seven rebounds, Zach Randolph had 11 points and eight boards, and Mike Conley finished with 10 points and seven assists.
Noteworthy
- The Pacers are 25-16 all-time against the Grizzlies, but just 4-11 in Memphis. Indiana has lost its last three games at FedEx Forum.
- Prior to last month's win in Indianapolis, the Pacers had dropped five consecutive contests to the Grizzlies.
- Pacers guard Aaron Brooks needs to make one more 3-pointer to reach 800 for his career. Forward C.J. Miles is 11 shy of 1,000 career 3-pointers.
