Reggie Miller 1993-1994 Season

Miller averaged a more modest 19.9 ppg while finishing second in the league in free-throw percentage at .908 and third in 3-point field-goal percentage at .421. In only his seventh season, Miller became the Pacers’ all-time leading scorer. With new Coach Larry Brown at the helm, Miller guided the Pacers to a 47-35 regular season record and made it to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time. In the East Finals, the Pacers met their rivals, the New York Knicks, and fell short in a hard-fought seven game battle. While Reggie averaged 23.2 ppg during the playoffs, his performance in Game 5 against New York will always be remembered for his scoring 25 points in the fourth quarter—going 5-for-5 from 3-point range—to lead Indiana to a 93-86 comeback victory in Madison Square Garden. Miller also captured the nation’s attention when he exchanged gestures throughout the game with Spike Lee.
