Mel Daniels Career Gallery
In his first year with the Pacers, Mel led the squad to its best ABA record (59-25) and won the first of their three championships. For the season, Mel pulled down a ferocious 16.5 rpg and posted a career-high 24 ppg, represented the Pacers in the All-Star game, and made All-ABA First Team. As a member of the Pacers for six seasons, he went on to win the ABA MVP twice, was an All-Star each year, was named All-ABA First Team three times and All-ABA Second Team once. Daniels averaged 19.5 ppg and 15.9 rpg while leading the team to its three ABA Championships.
